Forestry Shovel

A tool that offers firm grip and is easy to handle in confined spaces.

It is the main tool used for opening and extending lines of defense, excavating, and removing vegetation. It allows to clear up to mineral soil stopping fuel supply and the spread of fire.

The forestry shovel is also widely used for prescribed burns, burnouts, control of secondary seats of fire, and mopping up operations.

The Forestry Shovel is made up of a heart-shaped forged steel blade with self-sharpening edges due to its geometric characteristics. These shovels are manufactured to meet the regulations of the U.S. Forest Service; therefore, they have special characteristics of angle of attack and curvature, and of blade dimensions.

The baked paint finish provides protection and durability against wear and heat; and the blade has a tread to press with the foot without the risk of damaging the sole of the shoe with the hot blade.
