Το POLYFOAM είναι ένα συνθετικό συμπύκνωμα αφρού τύπου AFFF-AR (Aqueous Film Forming Foams – Alchohol Resistant) για την κατάσβεση πυρκαγιών υδρογονανθράκων και πολικών διαλυτών. Αυτό το συμπύκνωμα έχει ψευδοπλαστική συμπεριφορά. Περιέχει φθοριωμένους και υδρογονανθρακικούς επιφανειοδραστικούς παράγοντες προκειμένου να επιτρέψει το σχηματισμό ενός υδατώδους «φιλμ» στην επιφάνεια των περισσότερων καυσίμων υδρογονανθράκων, μειώνοντας τις διαρροές ατμών και αποτρέποντας την επαφή με το οξυγόνο.
AFFF-AR MULTIPURPOSE FOAM CONCENTRATES
POLYFOAM is an AFFF-AR compound for extinction of hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires.
This concentrate has a pseudoplastic behaviour. It contains fluorinated and hydrocarbon surfactants in order to allow the formation of an aqueous film on the surface of most hydrocarbon fuels, reducing vapour leaks and preventing the contact with the oxygen.
POLYFOAM allows a good formation of an aqueous film on the surface of most hydrocarbon fuels and polar solvents, suppressing vapour leaks and preventing its contact with the oxygen and providing an excelling sealing on hot surfaces. Its formulation allows a great oil repellence, fluidity and burnback resistance.
POLYFOAM is a perfect tool to fight fires on storage tanks, bund, process areas, loading racks, power stations, marine vessels, Onshore and offshore terminals amongst others.
POLYFOAM should be applied with low and medium expansion foam equipment (nozzles, monitors, foam chambers, etc.)
On hydrocarbon and polar solvent fires it can be applied also with non-aspirating devices (water spray nozzles and standard sprinklers). This foam is intended for special applications where conventional foams fail; it can be used fighting fires or covering spillages of chemicals to avoid the emission of toxic, harmful, flammable, etc., vapours, even acids. The foam has a very good resistance to all kind of chemicals.
POLYFOAM range is available from 1% to 6% to perform extraordinarily on fresh or sea water. It may be proportioned with standard equipment (in-line inductors, bladder tanks, pumps, balanced pressure systems, etc.) and special purpose ones for AFFF agents (e.g. Hydrofoam nozzles).
