The Forestry Shovel is made up of a heart-shaped forged steel blade with self-sharpening edges due to its geometric characteristics. These shovels are manufactured to meet the regulations of the U.S. Forest Service; therefore, they have special characteristics of angle of attack and curvature, and of blade dimensions.
The baked paint finish provides protection and durability against wear and heat; and the blade has a tread to press with the foot without the risk of damaging the sole of the shoe with the hot blade.
