In industrial plants, smoke detectors and other similar fire detectors are often inadequate or inappropriate, as their sensors exposed to dust, dirt, fumes or moisture are often triggered incorrectly (false alarms) or not triggered at all!
Heat detectors have a slow response and/or are incorrectly triggered by the heat e.g. that some machines may emit during operation. In general, heat detection systems have a certain – limited – field of application, but are characterised by complexity in their installation, use and maintenance and are prone to false alarms.
Infrared and ultraviolet flame detection systems also have some applications, but have a limited detection range and are prone to false alarms from sunlight or other sources of infrared or ultraviolet radiation.
CIQURIX’s FCam system detects fire, with an average detection time of 10 seconds, indoors and outdoors, in any environment (extreme low temperatures, corrosive environments, explosive environments, polluting environments) and at a distance of up to 180 meters. It works in all weather conditions and light levels, even in total darkness. Eliminates false alarms at a rate of 0.01%.
The central philosophy of CIQURIX is simplicity and flexibility, as FCam systems have the ability to either integrate into existing fire detection systems or be used as stand-alone fire detection systems.

FCam fire detection system
FCam is a single surveillance ( CCTV ) and fire detection ( Fire Detection ) system.
The FCam system’s mode of operation is based on Dual Lens technology cameras , a combination of video and infrared ( IR ) resolution designed to determine the physical presence of fire, making the system more accurate and reliable.
Initially, the FCam system looks for color, brightness, shape and motion. Then, for confirmation, it repeats this process through the Near IR spectrum , a process that greatly reduces false alarms and allows the system to be accurate and reliable. By rapidly completing this process the system informs of any fire event or rejects the detection as false.
The FCam system can be seamlessly integrated into any existing fire detection system and/or CCTV system and can also be installed standalone. It offers the ability to provide alerts in the optimum way for you and your business, whether that’s a traditional fire alarm, an alert sent to a monitoring centre or even an alert on your phone. If required, the FCam system can be configured to immediately notify staff in the workplace as well as security services (Fire, Police, Security Companies) and any other interested party.
Compared to traditional fire detection systems in large spaces, the use of the FCam system has advantages over traditional fire detection systems as it eliminates the need to install multiple fire detectors and their wiring, while reducing the cost of labour and installation equipment, and has negligible regular maintenance costs.

FCam Flex & FCam Core systems
The FCam system is available in two versions, the Flex and Core versions , which use the same technology for fire detection, but are connected and monitored in different ways.
The Flex version is a CCTV surveillance system that detects fire. It can be connected to existing networks via standard Cat 6 network cabling. The devices connected to the system communicate using a standard IP Protocol. All devices are connected via one or more network switches and each camera can be powered either locally or via the network. The controller has fire and fault outputs, but a network connection can be made to the I/O modules. The system can be powered via PoE.
The Core version is a fire detection system that uses CCTV technology. It has a dedicated network and provides a 24-hour battery backup in case of network failure/failure. The devices are powered directly from the control centre. Each camera is connected directly to a control hub or extension hub using a fire resistant cable. The control hub can “run” six (6) cameras and for adding more cameras, an additional four (4) or eight (8) way expansion hub is required. Each control distributor requires a power supply and the distributors are connected together via a dedicated fire network cable. The main control hub has a fire and fault relay output (expansion hubs do not) and more I/O modules can be connected to it. Fire resistant “FP” cables are used.
