HOW IT WORKS
Remove the blanket from its case, unfold it on the ground
Holding on to the safety handles – ensuring it protects you from any visible flames – simply slide the Bridgehill Forklift Fire Blanket over the vehicle on fire and cover around the perimeter making sure to leave no gaps in the ground and sealing any air passages to instantly contain flames, fumes and toxic gases in seconds.
Leave the blanket on the vehicle for 20 minutes. The fire will soon be extinguished due to lack of oxygen.
It is recommended that removal of the fire blanket be done only by professional firefighters.
Note: Lithium battery fires are not extinguished by ordinary fire extinguishers and require specialized type extinguishers. In electric or hybrid vehicle fires, lithium batteries will continue to burn even without oxygen*, depending on their charge level. The Bridgehill Forklift Fire Blanket, will also safely isolate the fire in the lithium battery vehicle for as long as necessary, until the Fire Department arrives.

Wait 20 min
Leave the blanket on the vehicle for 20 minutes. The fire will soon go out due to lack of oxygen.* Lithium-ion batteries, unlike other rechargeable batteries, have a potentially hazardous, pressurized, flammable, liquid solvent and require strict quality control during manufacturing. If they are overheated or overcharged, short-circuited, punctured, etc., the catalyst is “broken”, and instead charged ions collide freely causing a chained exothermic chemical reaction. In extreme situations this can lead to leakage of toxic superheated gases, explosion and of course fire.
